DR. MUSA DUKULY APPOINTED ACTING DEPUTY GOVERNOR FOR ECONOMIC AFFAIRS OF CENTRAL BANK OF LIBERIA

Dr. Musa Dukuly, a Principal Economist, of the West African Monetary Agency (WAMA)   has been appointed Acting Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of the Central Bank of Liberia.

According to a Press statement released by the Executive Mansion of Liberia, the President of Liberia, H.E President George Manneh Weah, made several appointments in Government affecting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central Bank of Liberia, Roberts International Airport, National Housing Authority and other commissions and agencies. The Executive Mansion indicated that the appointments made on June 18, 2019 were subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.

Dr. Dukuly joined WAMA in February 2013 as Senior Economist. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks to become a Principal Economist. 

Dr. Dukuly obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He also served as a lecturer at the University of Liberia, where he was commonly referred to as “Econ Duke”.

Before his appointment, Dr. Dukuly was a Principal Economist at the Multilateral Surveillance Department at WAMA.
