Honorable Boima S. Kamara, in his quest to strengthen and foster regional collaboration among regional institutions, pay a courtesy call on the new Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, Hon. Zuo, at his office at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters, Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria following his assumption of duty. DG Kamara thanked and appreciated Commissioner Zuo for the audience and formally extended him warm congratulation.
DG Kamara used the occasion to brief Commissioner Zuo on the status of monetary integration, especially the performance of the member states on the macroeconomic convergence criteria and implementation rate of the ECOWAS roadmap activities where WAMA is responsible for 78 of the 135 activities. This was done against the backdrop that the ECO launch is slated for the 3rd Quarter of 2027.
